第一、通过单独或者合谋，集中资金优势、持股优势或者利用信息优势联合或者连续买卖，操纵证券交易价格。

第二、与他人串通，以事先约定的时间、价格和方式相互进行证券交易或者相互买卖并不持有的证券，影响证券交易价格或者证券交易量。

具体处罚有：

   1.根据证券法规定，犯操纵证券、期货交易价格罪的，处五年以下有期徒刑或者拘役，并处或者单处违法所得一倍以上五倍以下罚金。

   2.应当承担民事赔偿责任和缴纳罚款、罚金，其财产不足以同时支付时，先承担民事赔偿责任。

   3.依照本法对证券发行、交易违法行为没收的违法所得和罚款，全部上缴国库。
