美股股指期货没有涨跌幅限制，所以没有跌停规则。但是美股股指期货有熔断机制。

目前，在美国交易时段和非美国交易时段，甚至于部分个股，美国都有熔断机制。

除了非美国交易时段的期货有针对上涨幅度的熔断外，美国交易时段只对跌幅有熔断机制。

在美国交易时段，熔断机制可以分为三级。

一级市场熔断，是指市场下跌达到7%。

二级市场熔断，是指市场下跌达到13%。

三级市场熔断，是指市场下跌达到20%。

在这里，市场下跌，是指标普500指数在常规交易时段（美东时间9：30-16：00），指数点位相对于前一日收盘点位的下跌。（如果该交易日为半天交易，则收盘时间为13：00）

在非美国交易时段，如果股指期货价格上涨或下跌达到5%就会触发熔断机制。
