如果高管要减持股票，一天是不可能减持完的，按照上海证券交易所出具的大股东减持公告规则，要求上市公司控股股东、持股5%以上的股东、董事、监事及高管等，要通过集中竞价的原则减持股票，还应在卖出股份的前15个工作日前递交减持计划并公示。

如果上市公司股东或高管涉嫌证券期货违法犯罪的，或正在被立案侦查期间的，是不能进行高管减持股票的。如果是上市公司大股东，则规定在3个月内通过竞价交易中减持股份的总数，不得超过公司股份总数的1%。
