出现这种结构性行情与经济结构的转型升级和市场预期有关。通常情况下股市结构性行情会有两种市场表现：

1、风格轮动：市场上的投资者是有偏好的，有时偏好价值股，有时偏好成长股，有时偏好大盘股，有时偏好小盘股，这种不同的交易偏好形成了不同的市场风格。风格轮动的本质也是高低的切换，在高低切换中完成不同的结构性行情。

2、行业轮动：行业轮动受到经济周期和行业周期的双重影响，在不同阶段有些行业的表现会与其它行业不一样，有的逆周期成长，有的行业自身周期拐点等等，行业轮动也是结构性行情出现主要的动力。行业轮动持续时间长的话，结构性行情就会演化成结构性牛市，结构性牛市再持续一段时间，有可能就会形成全面牛市了。
