1、当天买进的股票当天是不能卖出的，A股实行t+1交易模式，当天买进如果卖出就会提示股票可用数量不足。或者是此前已经委托挂过卖单，卖单没有撤单的时候不能重复卖出，这时也会提示股票可用数量不足。

2、卖出输入的数量大于持有的股票数量或者卖出输错了股票代码。比如持有10000股某股票，卖出时输入12000股，或者是输错代码卖出的是没有持有的股票，都会显示股票可用数量不足。

3、A股买卖交易单位至少是一手或者1手的整数倍(100股)，如果卖出时输入了零头股数，也会提示股票可用数量不足，因为交易所规定股票不允许将整股拆分零股来卖。
