对于上证指数失真的原因，最主要的原因可能是上证指数成分股里面国有企业比较多，而且权重很大，导致目前指数编制方法下，少部分传统成长性较差的行业对上证指数形成了一定拖累，比如银行、地产、券商。特别是近些年宏观经济降档减速，这些行业面临不小增长压力，大部分估值都是历史最低估值区间。这样应该就能理解为什么上证指数作为全行业所有股票的加权代表，既没有跑赢大盘股指数，也没有跑赢中小盘股指数而失真的原因了。
