通过卖盘、买盘数量的大小和比例，投资者通常可能发现主动性的买盘多还是主动性的抛盘多，并在很多时候可以发现庄家动向，是一个较有效的短线指标。

1、当内盘大于外盘，表示主动性卖出多，因此卖方力量强，抛压重，则可能会导致当日股价下跌。如果连续几日内盘均大于外盘，说明短期回调的概率大。

2、当外盘大于内盘，表示主动性买入多，说明当日买方力量强，因此当日股价上涨概率大。如果连续几日外盘大于内盘，短期股价上涨的概率大。
