一般情况下，ETF不会被强制平仓，除非投资者购买了带有可以融资融券标识的ETF，并且进行了加杠杆的操作，当ETF的价格往反方向运行的时候，投资者的保证金开始减少，此时就可能被强制平仓。如：投资者进行了融资，结果ETF开始大跌，此时投资者的保证金也不够了，券商要求投资者追加保证金，投资者又没有追加，此时就达到平仓线，就被券商强制卖出了。

做融资融券的时候，当维持担保比例低于130%时，如果经证券公司提醒后，投资者还没追加担保品，则会被强制平仓。融资融券是担保品交易，也就是投资者的担保物下跌了，维持担保比率就会下跌，此时就可能被强制平仓。

举例说明：

A客户自有资金10万，在券商融资了20万，一共30万全仓10元价格买入了3千股，此时维持担保比例为（10万+20万）÷20万=150%。

若此时股价又下跌至8元，总资产变为24万，维持担保比例为120%，此时被平仓，20万归还给券商，投资者还有4万元。若股价下跌至6元，总资产为18万，此时平仓不仅全部亏损，还欠证券公司2万元。
