大盘跌5个点没有熔断是因为早在2016年1月8日，上交所、深交所和中国金融期货交易所就联合发出通知，为维护市场稳定运行，经证监会同意，自1月8日起暂停实施指数熔断机制，也就是说现在熔断机制处于暂停状态，所以大盘下跌5个点的时候自然不会触发第一档熔断条件。

熔断规定：A股熔断是指当估值波动达到5%和7%时，分别实施两档熔断。当指数下跌到5%的时候，就会临时停盘15分钟，如果指数再次下跌到7%，那么就暂停交易到14:57分。

2016年1月4日，A股遇到史上首次"熔断"。早盘，两市双双低开，随后沪指一度跳水大跌，跌破3500点与3400点，各大板块纷纷下挫。午后，沪深300指数在开盘之后继续下跌，并于13点13分超过5%，引发熔断，三家交易所暂停交易15分钟，恢复交易之后，沪深300指数继续下跌，并于13点34分触及7%的关口，三个交易所暂停交易至收市。

后来在1月7日又发生熔断两度熔断，因此就暂停实施。
