股票市净率代表的是股东拥有公司财产和公司投资价值，市净率=股票价格/每股净资产，市净率越低说明投资该股票的风险越小，获得盈利的概率越大，相反市净率越高说明该股票的风险越大，获得盈利的概率越小，一般情况下市净率数值在20以下比较好。需要注意的是市净率不能低于1，若市净率低于1说明该公司的股价低于每股净资产，也就是投资者所说的破净，破净有可能是公司管理和业绩出现了问题，所以投资者在投资过程中要避免市净率低于1的股票。

市净率指标在投资过程中可以衡量个股是否具有投资价值，市净率越低的股票，其投资价值越高，反之，市净率越高的股票，其投资价值越低，市净率在一定程度上反映了上市公司的盈利能力。
